Before embarking on her own label, Dalton was a Junior Design Assistant position at Moody Spa design studio in Bologna that worked with prevalent menswear labels including: Stone Island, Crucianni Knitwear and Iceberg. She landed the job the Monday after she graduated, moving to Italy for a year before returning to London. Dalton started her fashion career at the age of 16 having completed an apprenticeship at local tailor, Pardie Clothing. Here, whilst working for Arthur Pardington, she gained extensive knowledge of pattern cutting and tailoring. The company specialised in bespoke clothing for the local gentry, particularly shooting jackets and “overtly masculine” garments. Practicality and durability were at the heart of the label, with Dalton learning key sewing skills and fabric sourcing. From here she went on to study a BTEC National Diploma in Fashion then got accepted on to the prestigious MA at the RCA.
